More About Me

Creativity is at the core of my soul. It has ebbed and flowed in all directions as the years go by, but design is one of my favorite mediums. I feel a certain something when mixing unique textures and materials. I get excited by vignettes, not-so-ordinary places, fabrics, wallpaper, flowers, fabulous textiles, gardens, people, yoga, and trade magazines. I’m a hunter and a gatherer, always on the prowl for an interesting trinket or a curious pattern and find much of my inspiration for my work from vintage shopping and thrifting.

My Design Mantra

  •  Let’s not be in a hurry, good design takes time!

  • Start with an amazing painting or stunning rug – preferably both.

  • Accessories are not an afterthought, they’re a “MUST”.

  • Customize, customize, customize.

  • Surround yourself with original artwork. (Something vintage or your child’s artwork!)

  • Never buy the set.

  • No second-guessing along the way. A room isn’t done until it’s done-done.

  • Bold colors can be neutrals.

  • Meaningful design means sourcing items that speak to your soul.
